Small Ways to Increase Guest Comfort

April 5, 2018

Although your wedding day is about you and the love of your life you still want to make sure that your guests enjoy the day as well! Some of your guests may travel thousands of miles to come see you on your special day so why not make sure they are comfortable during the entire process? We have narrowed down some ways for you to make sure your guests are comfortable and enjoy your wedding as much as you do!

1. Heating and Air

Make sure your venue has air and heating! Nothing is worse than trying to enjoy the exchange of beautiful vows but instead being overwhelmed by sweat dripping off your forehead or shivering in your seat. This is why you need to make sure that your venue is climate controlled.

2. Seating Chart

Put thought into your seating chart. Make sure grandma isn't sitting next to the Dj and make sure your Uncle Dan and Aunt Kelly (who don't quite get along) aren't sitting next to each other. If guests are seating next to their close friends and family theres no way they won't enjoy the day!

3. Flip Flops anyone?

Are you getting married on the beach or grass and are worried about high heeled guests sinking into the floor while walking? Or if not, what about when everybody hits the dance floor and those high heeled girls feet start to blister and bleed because those heels are more for style than comfort. Providing guests with various sizes of flip flops will ensure that they stay comfy all night long while walking on tough surfaces or getting their dance on.

4. Outdoor Wedding Preparedness

If you are planning on getting married outside make sure you are prepared! This means backup sunscreen, sunglasses, umbrellas, blankets, bug spray, etc. The weather can throw some curveballs but if you are prepared your guests will be excited to battle the elements to be a part of the most important day of your life!

5. Give hotel recommendations as well as advance notice

The hardest part of a wedding, from the guest side, can be figuring out travel arrangements. Mitigate this struggle with providing guests plenty of time to plan for the wedding as well as reserving hotel room blocks. This way the party can continue after the wedding with all your guests staying in one convenient location. This also allows for the sharing of transportation costs, if this isn't provided by your hotel.

Now that you have a few ways to keep your guests happy and comfy on your wedding day you can focus on your own happiness on one of the most important days of your life!
